Trail is on an extremely old logging road that climbs the mountain above the lake. If you get a good map, you'll find the road in, THIS IS NOT A BUSH CRASHER, NOT IN ANYWAY!!!

The trick to this cache is researching the easiest way to walk in. This hike is an old logging road that follows Roberts Lake. The GPS will actually trick you into going a virtually impossible way. Turn right off of Hwy 19, as you pass Roberts Lake. There are two turns, one is a dead-end for a boat ramp. Follow the logging road for approx 5 minutes (40-50kph). Look for a large clearing on the right w/ a small horrible dead end road. Above it, you will notice a grade going from left to right that ends at the woods up the bank. This is actually your trail. Continue in your car. Stop at the left pull off (looks down on Stella lake and a LARGE clear cut.)The road on the right takes you up to the cache in approximately 45minutes to 1.5 hrs. (My kid did it in 1.5, he's seven.)As you start you'll see the road you drove up on. In the clearcut below you, you are looking at the area where most of the Movie: "the 13th Warrior" was made. If you were someone who spent time on the set, you'd know Disney said "No Way" to the Cache Title of: Eaters Of The Dead. Watching the movie the night before made the fog we walked through the next morning creepy-awesome. ***HINTZ***Do not Turn off the main Trail (Road). If it's rained, the first creek will be too deep at the road, i go 100 ft or so up. Thick bush on both sides of creek. you'll pass three more if raining, probably none if summer. Watch for Hack marks as we often "maintain" this trail.(but we did it for free so quality is our own.) There is a creek bed that makes up the last half of the trail. My Super Hint: The BEST map can be bought at River Sportsman on the way out of town, and is the CR SAR map. It helped me to make this trip up when we crested the mountain. Costs about 10 bucks.
