The northern Laos town of Luang Prabang is a major tourist drawcard, which no doubt accounts for the presence of this rather large Vietnamese Consulate General. The offices are located to the south of the town. As there is no Vietnamese visa on arrival anyone desirous of visiting Vietnam must obtain a visa prior to arrival. A sometimes tricky process, usually best handled by a local agent who will travel the travails of travel on your behalf.
