Der Friedhof und die Kirche stehen unter Denkmalschutz.
"Zum Pfarrgebiet gehört auch die Filialkirche in Oberpettnau . Ursprünglich stand dort eine Kapelle zu Ehren des hl. Christophorus und der heiligen Barbara.
Die jetzige Kirche wurde 1412 erbaut. (Eine Weihe wird 1666 erwähnt). 1746 wird sie erneuert und reich ausgestattet. Besonders hervorzuheben sind die Decken- und Altargemälde von Josef Anton Zoller, darstellend das Leben des heiligen Josef. Die schönen Barockfiguren sind teilweise von Johann Perger. Die letzte und umfassende Renovierung fand 1990-1995 statt. Dabei wurden Mauerreste zweier früherer Kirchen gefunden. Verschiedene Andenkentafeln weisen auf hier ansässige Adelsgeschlechter hin.
In unmittelbarer Nachbarschaft der Kirche steht nämlich der mächtige Mellaunerhof, vormals Gasthof Oettl, ein uralter gotischer Bau mit barocker Fassade, einst Poststation und daneben der Ansitz Sternbach, derzeit in bäuerlichem Besitz. Am Nordhang führt ein Weg zum sogenannten Einsiedel mit Kreuzwegstationen von Johann Obrleitner und einer Kapelle zu Ehren "unserem Herrn im Elend"." - Quelle: (

The cemetery and church are listed buildings.
"The parish area is also the daughter church in Oberpettnau. Originally there was a chapel dedicated to St. Christopher and St. Barbara.
The present church was built in 1412th (A consecration is mentioned 1666). 1746 will be renewed and richly furnished. Particularly noteworthy are the ceiling and altar painting by Joseph Anton Zoller, depicting the life of St. Joseph. The beautiful Baroque figures are part of Johann Perger. The last and major renovations took place 1990-1995. This wall remains were found of two previous churches. Various souvenir sheets indicate here resident nobility.
In the immediate vicinity of the Church in fact is the powerful Mellaunerhof, formerly Oettl inn, an ancient Gothic building with a baroque façade, once a post office and next to the residence Sternbach, now in peasant ownership.
