This manhole cover is located on the cobblestone street near Lilla Torg Square in Malmo, Sweden. Malmo is a large city in Skane County and has a population of over 300,000. The manhole cover here has a depiction of the town's coat of arms with the word "Malmo" on the left and "Stad" on the right.

This Wikipedia page (visit link) has an image of the coat of arms with this explanation in Swedish:

"Blasonering: Sköld: I silverfält ett rött, med gyllene krona krönt griphuvud. Krest: På hjälmen samma bild samt i kronan ett knippe strutsfjädrar av silver.

Denna blasonering är från 1947 i originalblasoneringen (på danska) från 1437 är strutsfjädrarna i hjälmprydnaden omväxlande av silver och röda. Det är även dessa färger som används (trots blasoneringen) i dagens vapen."
which Google translates as:

"BLAZON: Shield: In silver field a red, with golden crown surmounted gripper head. Krest: The helmet is the same image, and the crown of a bunch of ostrich feathers of silver.

This BLAZON is from 1947 in originalblasoneringen (in Danish) from 1437 is the ostrich feathers in the helmet ornament alternating with silver and red. It is also the dyes used (despite blasoneringen) in today's weapon."
