"Die Kleinbahn im Westfalenpark ist eine Parkeisenbahn in Dortmund. Sie wurde zur Bundesgartenschau 1959 in Betrieb genommen. Zur Bundesgartenschau 1991 wurden neue Züge eingesetzt.
Die Züge verkehren täglich vom Vormittag bis zum frühen Abend im Halbstundentakt. Zusätzlich können Sonderzüge eingesetzt werden. Die Bahn umfährt in einem Rundkurs das gesamte Areal des Westfalenparks und hat Haltestellen am Florianturm und, als Bedarfshaltestelle, am Buschmühlenteich. Betreiber der Bahn ist die Intamin Bahntechnik und Betriebsgesellschaft mbH & Co KG.
Seit 1991 werden Bahnen eingesetzt, deren Lokomotiven mit batterieelektrischem Antrieb arbeiten. Die Züge sind so konstruiert, dass auch Rollstuhlfahrer mitfahren können. Die Spurweite der Bahn beträgt 600 mm. Der Rundkurs hat eine Länge von etwa 2700 Metern." - Quelle Wikipedia
