The Ripple War Memorial is sited in churchyard of St Mary the Virgin Church.  A stone cross mounted on a hexagonal platform. The memorial was dedicated on February 4th 1920 by Harold Ernest Bilbrough, Bishop of Dover. The architect of the memorial was a Mr. Harold C King.

The memorial is inscribed; IN MEMORY / OF THE FALLEN / AND / IN GRATITUDE / FOR LIVES SPARED / IN THE GREAT WAR / 1914-1918

The Memorial contains the names of 21 fallen men. 7 were former students of the Upton School (believed to be a former local private school). The other 14 men listed were parish residents.
