Hradní studna
Hradní studna se se svou hloubkou necelých 111,8 metru radí mezi nejhlubší studny v Evrope. V letech 1714-1717 došlo z duvodu nedostatku vody v pevnosti k jejímu prohloubení z puvodních 39 m na 112. To znamená, že její dno sahá až pod úroven Svratky na Starém Brne. Horní cást studny je vyzdena hrubými kameny a omítkou, hlubší steny tvorí již cistá skála. Prumerná šírka studny je 3,5m. V jejím nejužším míste byly namereny 2m. Sloupec vody ve studni je vysoký 90 cm, což znamená, že vodní sloupec dosahuje mocnosti 1000 m3 vody. Puvodne bylo nad studnou drevené kolo, které umožnovalo transport vody. Studna se prestala používat v letech 1939-41. V roce 1991 probehl rozsáhlý pruzkum studny. Byla pri nem nalezena rada zajímavých nálezu. Mezi nimi nejvetší pozornost vzbudila kostra vojáka z 19.stol., jejíž puvod není dodnes vysvetlen. Vedle studny se nachází i barokní cisterna, do níž byla svádena deštová voda.
Castle well
The first record of the well is from 1711. The well was 39 m deep and it has little water, it has almost no inflow. In 1714 began the excavating. During first year of excavating the depth of the well was 63 m and in 1717 depth was 100 m, but the sufficient source still was not found. Digging was stopped in 114 m i.e. 15 m below the water level of the Svratka river. In the bottom of the wells were done two corridors with total length of 40 m, which finally caught abundant source. The well is filled to a height of 90 m water. The well is the deepest historic well in the Czech Republic.
