The anchor is part of the WWII Memorial, the memorial is dedicated to all soldiers who passed during the war as sailors. On the other side of the church stands as a memorial for propeller aircraft.
Former anchor facing the church today is a military memorial to the fallen of World Wars.
Nearby is a large monument to the Warsaw Uprising.
