This installation of 7 solar panels is probably rated at 1500 Watts and is similar to the installation I have on my own roof.
I have the advantage over most consumers with this size system, in that for 5 or 6 months of the year I am away on a 'Climatic Refugee' trip, and the system builds up credit for me. When I am home I still get to 'sell' most of the output from my system because I have a 'Three Phase' electrical connection, and the solar system connects to the lighting phase. I currently sell my output at roughtly 2.5 times the price I pay for my usage, and don't expect to have to pay an electricity bill this year.
I also carry a folding 120 Watt solar panel with me on my travels, but I've never been able to sell the output of that.
Type of system: Photovoltaic (electrical)
