Norodom I ruled as king of Cambodia from 1860 to 1904. He is considered to be the first modern king of Cambodia. He was succeeded by his half-brother and the Crown Prince, Prince Sisowath.
King Norodom stupa is located on the grounds of the Silver Pagoda next to the Royal Palace in Phnom Penh the capital of Cambodia.
The Royal Palace complex and attached Silver Pagoda compound consist of several buildings, structures and gardens all located within 500x800 meter walled grounds overlooking a riverfront park.
