The Don Edwards National Wildlife Refuge rings the southern portion of San Francisco Bay. In Fremont, there is an almost hidden trailhead that takes you out to Coyote Creek Lagoon and far out into the marshland.

The waymark coordinates put you at this trailhead, which is unmarked and otherwise a bit hard to miss.

Nearby is a small parking lot with a pretty picnic area shaded by willow trees.
Catch the driveway to this parking lot at N37 28.911, W121 56.718.

Look at the great views...

There are hundreds of types of birds out here.

More great views, and even wildflowers...

Go on, go for a hike!
