Many people use this spot as a convenient stopping place between the two places. The cross would appear reinforce the significance of the cairn at this mountain pass.

The nearby route sign indicates an estimated walking time from here of 1 hour 25 minutes to Cuber and 2 hours 40 minutes to Biniaraix
This spot is at a height of 899 metres. The village of Biniaraix to the west is at a height of 100 metres and Cuber Reservoir is 770 meteres.

GR 221 is well signposted at this point and the path is well defined. Cuber Reservoir does have a bus stop, but is very isolated, if you’re not walking the full route the best option is to start from the reservoir. Taxis are reasonably cheap on the island and more flexible than the buses.
