"The Oddfellows Temple was built in 1912 to house the Oddfellows lodge which had been operating in the city since 1884. The top floor was reserved for meetings and the secret rituals that were typical of such societies of the day, while the lower floors housed offices and retail operations. The building was purchased by the Calgary Chamber of Commerce and adapted for its use in 1979."
