The monument is a stone, Doric column with a pineapple design on the top. It is Grade II Listed from 10th January 1985. It is dedicated to Capability Brown and lies in Wrest Park.

Hidden in the grounds of Wrest Park this tall column is about 6 metres high and consists of a Doric column cut by 2 rusticated blocks on a rectangular plinth with moulded base and cap.

The tall monument is hidden in the woodland with a vista along a mown pathway. There is an inscription on the south side which reads:

'These gardens originally laid out by Henry Duke of Kent, were altered by Philip Earl of Hardwicke and Jemima Marchioness Grey, with the professional assistance of Lancelot Brown Esq. in the years 1758, 1759, 1760'.
