"Spira" is a monumental piece by the internationally recognized neon artist Gun Gordillo, born 1960 in Sweden.
It was erected in 2004 in the yard of the medical technology company Straumann in Basel.
The neon sculpture is behind a glass face and easy to see from the street. It has two parts: a floating light blue spiral, accompanied by a segment of small neon circles in different shades from white to dark red.
