Approximately 35kms north of the capital of Cambodia—the energetic city of Phnom Penh—three provincial borders meet. These are: Kandal province, the province of which Phnom Penh is a part, and the two agricultural provinces of Kampong Speu, and Kampong Chhnang. This meeting point is just north the district capital of Udong.

At this date Google maps is absent the name of Kandal and Kampong Speu Provinces, however, the Kandal Province lies to the south of this point, with Kampong Speu to the west, and Kampong Chhang to the north.

This conjunction lies on a river and a bridge over the river. There is a single large sign, which has on one side, facing into Kandal Province, text stating that this is the border with Kampong Chhang Province, while on its reverse side the sign has text stating that this area is the border of Kampong Speu Province. Kandal Province is not mentioned as such.

The tripping is easy to reach from Phnom Penh, by public bus or taxi, and the city and hill of Udong is something of a tourist attraction for Cambodians and foreigners. The hill is replete with Buddhist and cultural artefacts, and a large and noisy market, food and drink for sale, and lots of fun things for young people to do.
