The memorial, made by stonemason Mr. Hejhal of Drevniky village, is dedicated
Pamatce zakladatelum pozarniho sboru v Dalekych Dusnikach 1884-1984
(In memory of founders of the firefigther squad in Daleke Dusniky, 1884-1984)
The centennial ceremony was held on August 12th, 1984, and there were 28 firefighter squads attending the ceremony.
I have not seen many memorials like this in CZ but they seem to be popular in this region. This one was built in 1984 so it has the obligatory red star and wheat ears communist symbols - the others in neighboring villages, built after 1989, use more traditional firefighter symbols.
Anniversary Year: 1984
