USA/Mexico Border Marker at the Pacific Ocean - Tijuana, Mexico - U.S. Historic Survey Stones and Monuments on Waymarking.com

Although there is a waymark for this marker in the border crossings category, there is no crossing allowed here. One must go several miles east to cross the border. At one time, just a few years ago, a mesh fence here straddled the actual border and relatives and friends would meet and exchange conversations...even have picnics. Access to the fence on the US side is now restricted and the fence is now placed several feet from the actual border.

One of the marker's inscription is in English and Spanish. The English portion reads:

Another side reads:

"Limite
de le

The Spanish version list their Commissioner as Pedro Garcia Condea and their surveyor as Jose Salazar Ylarregui.

PS...I noticed that Google maps actually has a white line representing the border that is actually south of this marker and the actual recognized border. One can see the dark line that continues into the Pacific Ocean...that is the border fence.
