Star Trek has been through many incarnations in it's 46 year history, but one name resonates perhaps more than any other and that's Captain Kirk. The man who has played him in the original series and through many movies is none other than William Shatner. William Shatner was born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada in 1932 and although he has had many roles in his career, none can hold water to his role as the famous captain of the U.S.S. Enterprise. In honour of his many achievements, but primarily for his efforts in playing Captain James T. Kirk, this street was named after him.
