Cathedral of Burgos: In the center of the transept is the tomb of El Cid and his wife Chimène whose remains have been transported in 1921. A beautiful white marble tomb, we see the Cid sitting alongside Chimene. Note the monumental work of the sculptor. The Cid with his sword and his ceremonial garb and Chimene with his flamboyant dress, even the dog is at the feet of torque of Chimene.

Cathédral de Burgos : Au centre du transept se trouve le tombeau du Cid Campeador et de son épouse Chimène dont les restes y ont été transportés en 1921. Un magnifique tombeau de marbre blanc, on y voit le Cid reposant au côté de Chimène. Il faut remarquer le travail monumental de l’artiste sculpteur. Le Cid avec son épée et ses habits d’apparat et Chimène avec sa robe flamboyante, même le chien du couple est au pieds de Chimène.
