The history of the church of Nazarene in Cape Verde is straightly related to João José Dias, a young man born in Brava in 1873, that at 16 years of age leaves the archipelago with his father, heading North America.
After a long work with the church in the US, he returns to Cape Verde in 1901 to organize the church at his native town.
