The abandoned Miners' Village at the western end of the Upper Lake, Glendalough. The mines were in operation on and off for over 150 years before the last one eventually closed in 1965. The remains of many buildings still stand and the spoil heaps descending from the disused mines are clearly visible. The scenery of marshland, cliffs, boulder scree and the steeply descending Glenealo River is quite dramatic.

Easy acces by the marked walking path from the car park near the lake.
