Ma'alaea Boat & Fishing Club is a non-profit organization operating here since 1947. They provide trailers for the do-it-yourself haul out service, for which there is a nominal fee to offset maintenance, rent and taxes.
This is one of two ports on the island of Maui where sail boats dock, the other being not far away in the old whaling port of Lahaina. All types of sailing can be found here from high performance catamarands to small pleasure boats, and, of course fishing boats.
The administrative offices for the club are located on the first floor of a building shared by the historic Buzz's Wharf on the second floor.
