Originally located in the Hindley Street in the city, they merged and moved to Thebarton, before finally being aquired by the Lion-Nathan group.
Brewery is most noted for producing the mass produced West End Draught, but mostly loved for the Brewery Lights which are provided on their lawns next to the Torrens each Christmas season. All those who grew up in Adelaide have at some time one Christmas visited the lights in pyjamas and dressing gown.
Thor is an ever present feature and during the day continue to produce thunder and lighting.
The Brewery is also noted for its chimney which features at the top the colours of the Premiers of the SANFL Competition (Aussie Rules Football), with a small band of colours those who came second just below the Premiers.
