Boat Ramp in Salvaterra de Magos, Portugal.

Vala Real is a man built canal used in the past to connect Salvaterra de Magos to the Tagus river and Lisbon. The Royal family used to travel by boat from Lisbon to the Royal Palace in Salvaterra back in the 17th century.
After the construction of the bridge across the Tagus in Vila Franca de Xira the canal lost it´s importance. Today it´s still used by local fishermans and for recreation purposes.
The ramp can be used by all types of small boats, the ones that can navigate in the canal (Small Powerboats and small sailing boats).
It´s open 24/7.
