"Al exmo. sr. D. Jose Maria Cadaval Y correa, nascido en este pazo, por su eficaz actuacion como oficial y jefe militar en la guerra de la independencia, asi como, ya general, por su ejemplar colaboracion en el gobierno de la isla de Cuba (1787-1854)"
"To sr. D. Jose Maria Cadaval Y correa born in this palace, for his effective acting as an officer and commander in the war of independence, as well already as a general, for his exemplary collaboration in the government of the island of Cuba (1787-1854)"
