In Newton Centre, at the corner of Langley Road and Beacon Street, is the No. 1 Noodle House.
The store web site has the following about itself:
"At No.1 Noodle House, we offer fresh and delicious Chinese food, from our comfortable restaurant. We use fresh, fine ingredients to create your favorite Chinese dishes – including appetizers, crispy / pan fried noodles, stir fried noodles, rice dishes, noodle soups, rice congee, laksa, vegetable dishes, much more. "
If you want to see your food being prepared, there is the area behind the counter, which includes a large pot where the noodles are prepared, by the front window. There is also a large window in place where you can see the food being prepared on the stove.
The menu is long. I took the suggestion for a wonton soup and was not disappointed! Delivery is available ($12 minimum charge).
