The station provides fire protection and inspection services for all of the Greater City of Gosnells area, including Gosnells, Seaforth, Southern River, Huntingdale, Thornlie, Langford, Maddington, Kenwick, and Beckenham. It also provides support as required to, and receives support from, the neighbouring stations of Armadale Fire Station 11 Km to the south, Welshpool Fire Station 7 Km to the north, Belmont Fire Station 13 Km to the north, Canning Vale Fire Station 7 Km to the west, and Kensington Fire Station 12 Km to the northwest.
It is equipped with one medium pumper and two four wheel drive Light Tankers or Fast Attack Vehicles.
Maddington Fire Station was opened on the 4th of October 1971 by the Honourable R.H.C. Stubbs M.L.C., Chief Secretary, Minister Controlling Fire Brigades.
