This used to be the main police station, but recently the Police got a new station, a bit out of the center. However, they kept the old station and they keep it manned, although there is no official "opening time" for it. I guess during the Summer it will be most of the time, as Lagos is main a touristic destination.
The office is established in "Paços do Concelho" building. This was the old concept of City Hall, until the early 20th Century, before the Republic. Next door there is the Tourism Information Office.

I have had NO problems with taking photos of Police stations but please respect the fact that some services may be nervous about having their photo taken and inquire as to why... I have found that once things are explained they are more than happy to let me photograph the building, crest, chief... (they are people too!)
