The waterfall was constructed as part of the Gosnells town centre re-development which commenced in 1999 and concluded in 2004.
This is waterfall is about 15 metres wide and is a multi-step waterfall which falls about 8 metres over a distance of 13 metres.
The Agonis @ Gosnells has a 5 star Green rating, and it is probable that the water supply for the waterfall comes either from stormwater runoff from the building and surrounding hardstand which is stored below ground in two 120,000 litre tanks, or from the grey water recycling system which is in place.
The elevated walkway above the waterfall provides disabled access to and from the courtyard beside the Civic Centre.
Ample free parking is available kerbside in Federation Parade and at the far end of The Agonis.
