Built in 1964, this 16-story building was originally the home of First National Bank. You can still see the bank night deposit boxes on each side of the entrance.
Reno city acquired the building for $5.5 million, following renovation, city offices were relocated here in 2004. Prior to the city purchasing this building, it was known as the Cal Neva Tower.
Reno City Hall is located at 1 East First Street, nicknamed "1E1" by many, can be found on the northeast corner of the intersection at First and Virginia streets, right in the heart of downtown Reno. In addition to city offices, City Hall is home to the Metro Gallery, displaying unique works of art from local and regional artists.
