La Bonne Franquette is an old house more than four centuries.

It is built on the corner of the rue des Saules, leading the vine of Montmartre, the street Norvins, oldest street of Montmartre, and rue Saint Rustique, the higher street of Paris.

In the last century, this restaurant's name was
« Aux Billards en Bois » (a game like the Billard) written on the wall « Olivier et Pieds de Mouton» (Olivier and feet of sheep) which mean the owners of the restaurant.
