The main bus station of Chur was rebuilt in the early 1990s on the top of the railway station. The striking transparent roof construction has become one of the landmark of Chur.

The main bus station of Chur is located above the railway lines at the railway station. The current architecture by Richard Brosi and Robert Obrist was chosen in a competition in 1986. In 1993 the station with its large transparent roof was finished and has soon become one of the landmarks of Chur.
Chur is an important connection point for public transport in south-east Switzerland. It is the terminal station of the standard gauge SBB line that connects the canton Graubünden with Zürich and the rest of Switzerland, and it is the most important station of the meter gauge Rhaetian Railway of Graubünden connecting the main parts of this alpine region including famous places like St. Moritz, Davos or Arosa.
The bus terminal has a direct connection to the railway platforms and the underground shopping arcade. Most of the bus lines are operated by PostBus Switzerland with their distinctive yellow buses. They connect to all the alpine valleys in the area with express lines to more important destinations.
The station has no signage that would tell you the location, there are only signs that say Postautostation.
Local bus lines do not stop here but on the place in front of the main building of the railway station.
