La cruz se ha quedado atascado en un palo largo de 5 metros de altura, la cruz misma es más bien pequeño es bastante oxidado. Que representa a los ojos de los peregrinos una meta y un anuncio de que la peregrinación llega a su fin.
Se encuentra a 1504 m de altitud en el Foncebadón cuello cerca de la intersección entre la carretera LE-142 y la ruta a la Sierra Prada. Por lo tanto, en el Camino Francés, entre las localidades de Foncebadón y Manjarín, ambos pertenecientes al municipio de Santa Colomba de Somoza, en la provincia de León, Castilla y León, al noroeste de España.
La tradición dice que cada peregrino que deposite una piedra de su casa en los tiros en el trabajo, el símbolo de la carga que lleva consigo el tema y que espera que su peregrinación.

La croix est fiché sur une grande perche de 5 mètres de hauts, la croix elle-même est plutôt petite est passablement rouiller. Elle représente aux yeux des pèlerins un but et l'annonce que le pèlerinage tire à sa fin.
Elle est située à 1 504 m d'altitude, au col de Foncebadón près du carrefour entre la route LE-142 et le chemin qui mène à Prada de la Sierra. Elle se trouve donc sur le Camino francés, entre les localités de Foncebadón et de Manjarín, appartenant toutes deux au municipio de Santa Colomba de Somoza, dans la province de León, communauté autonome de Castille-et-León, au nord-ouest de l'Espagne.
La tradition veut que chaque pèlerin dépose ici une pierre provenant de sa maison en la jette sur le tas, symbole du fardeau qu'il porte avec lui et de la délivrance qu'il espère de son pèlerinage.
