A beautiful beach on Yorke Peninsula and a lovely spot to spend the day. The waters are pretty flat within the bay, and there is shelter on the sand to avoid sunburn.
There is a pontoon moored in the water which is great to jump off when the tide is in. Further around the beach is a wharf which many kids enjoy jumping off of.
Next to the shelter is a convenient kiosk, which makes the best hot donuts, but also does fish'n'chips and other such foods.
In 2011 it was awarded the state's cleanest beach award, and although not winning the Australian title, received many commendations at the awards ceremony. In 2004, Port Vincent won the Australian Tidiest town award. (
