Der Rheinfall (allemanisch: Rhyfall) ist der grösste Wasserfall Europas. Er befindet sich in der Schweiz auf dem Gebiet der Gemeinden Neuhausen am Rheinfall im Kanton Schaffhausen und Laufen-Uhwiesen im Kanton Zürich, rund vier Kilometer westlich unterhalb der Stadt Schaffhausen.
Der Rheinfall hat eine Höhe von 23 Metern und eine Breite von 150 Metern. Der Kolk in der Prallzone hat eine Tiefe von 13 Metern. Bei mittlerer Wasserführung des Rheins stürzen im Rheinfall 373 m³/s über die Felsen.

The Rhine Falls (German: Rheinfall, Alemannic: Rhyfall) is the largest waterfall in Europe. It is located in Switzerland in the municipalities of Neuhausen am Rheinfall in the canton Schaffhausen and Laufen-Uhwiesen in the canton of Zurich, about four miles to the west beneath the city of Schaffhausen. The Rhine Falls has a height of 23 meters and a width of 150 meters. The Kolk in the impact zone has a depth of 13 meters. At medium water levels of the Rhine 373 m³/s of water fall over the rocks.
