CS:

• Dub se nachází v údolí potoka u obce Peruc.

• Jedná se o jeden ze trí nejstarších dubu v Ceské republice. I když vek stromu nejde presne urcit, má se za to, že Oldrichuv dub je vubec nejstarším žijícím dubem v Cesku.

• Obvod u paty kmene je 970 cm, ve výšce prsou pak 760 cm. Výška dubu je udávána 31 metru.

• Strom je zapsán na seznamu památných stromu Ceské republiky.

• U paty dubu je vybudována terasa pro návštevníky. Nad terasou se nachází zámecký park, ve kterém se nachází Boženina studánka, jejíž voda protéká kolem dubu.

• Se stromem a studánkou se pojí jedna z nejznámejších ceských romantických povestí - milostný príbeh Oldricha a Boženy. Tu zaznamenali všichni významní stredovecí kronikári z Ceských zemí.

• Podle príbehu strom pamatuje setkání prince Oldricha a prosté selské ženy Boženy. Povest ríká, že se mladý pán vracel z lovu údolím potucku, a tu uvidel, jak u mladého dubu klecí krásná svudná žena a pere prádlo. Oldrich na ní mohl oci nechat, byla to láska na první pohled! Oldrichovi pranic nevadilo, že je žena vdaná, a unesl ji na své sídlo. Tady je nutné podotknout, že Božena se švarnému šlechticovi nikterak nebránila a stala se jeho druhou ženou. Z tohoto vztahu se pak narodil Bretislav, budoucí ceský kníže. Na památku tohoto príbehu byl strom nazván Oldrichovým dubem.

• Vek stromu se odhaduje na základe této povesti na víc než 1 000 let (Bretislav se narodil mezi lety 1 002 a 1 005). Zdravotní stav stromu tomu odpovídá. Kmen je vykotlaný a koruna stromu cástecne suchá. Dub se tak již nachází v záverecné fázi svého života.

• V devadesátých letech dvacátého dutinu stromu dvakrát ponicil požár založený vandaly. Poškozený strom byl ošetren a došlo k redukci a zpevnení koruny. V soucasnosti je stav stromu stabilizovaný.

• Oak is located in the valley near the village Peruc.

• It is one of the three oldest oaks in the Czech Republic. Although the age of trees is not precisely determined it is considered that Oldrich Oak is the oldest living oak in the Czech Republic.

• Girth at the base of the tree trunk is 970 cm and girth at the chest height is 760 cm. Oldrich´s Oak has height 31 meters.

• The tree is registered on the list of protected trees of the Czech Republic.

• Near the tree is a terrace for visitors. Above the terrace is a park where Božena´s spring is located. Water from this spring flows around the oak.

• The tree and the spring were associated with one of the best known Czech romantic tales – the love story of peasant´s wife Bozena and prince Oldrich. All prominent medieval chroniclers noticed about this story.

• The legend says that the young prince was hunting near Peruc and in the valley he saw beautiful woman in a plain shirt. She knelt at the well near the oak and washed clothes. Oldrich looked at her gracefull face, his glance slid over her neck and chest and Oldrich fell in love at first sight. He ignored that Bozena was married and took her to his palace in Prague.
  However, it must be noted that Bozena didn´t resist this love and became his female lover and later she became his second wife. Bretislav, the future Czech ruler, was born from this relationship. In memory of this story was a tree called Oldrich´s oak.

• Based on this legend the tree age is estimated at more than 1000 years (Bretislav was born between 1002 and 1005). The health status of the tree corresponds to this estimation. Oak is in the final phase of his life. The trunk is hollow and the tree crown is partially dry.

• Two times in the nineties of the twentieth fire damaged the hollow of the three. Damaged tree was treated and his crown was pruned and reinforced. Currently the condition of Oldrich´s oak is stabilized.
