The Pillory of Oeiras is a monument built in the third quarter of the eighteenth century. It has an octagonal perimeter and is made of limestone, and measures about 7.20m high, topped by a spike in bronze. The base consists of three steps that symbolically represent social classes: clergy, nobility and people.
This pillory is classified by the IGESPAR as a Public Interest Building since 1933.
Nowadays the pillory is located in a garden very near from Oeiras City Hall
