At one time this spring was the water supply to the farming operations of the Edworthy farmhouse located at the base of the slope. The water supply could have been used to produce the produce that was grown and sol by the Edworthy's prior to opening their sandstone quarry.

Given the location of the watersource relative to other activites in the area, major roads, dog park, etc. the water is marked as not fit for consumption.

A storage tank located below the spring regulates some of the supplly to the Edworthy farmhouse.
