Pyramid, Tirana, Albania - Pyramids on Waymarking.com

The Pyramid of Tirana is a famous landmark of the capital of Albania. It was designed by the daughter (and her husband) of the former dictator Enver Hoxha, as a museum to keep the memory of her father. Of course, after the fall of his regime the idea was set apart.

Nowadays the Pyramid is mostly abandoned and there are recurrent talks about its demolition. In a small part of the building there is a disco called The Mummy and the faces of the pyramid are used by the kids for sledding down.
