The "Calçadinha Romana" is part of what used to be the Roman road, connecting Ossonoba (modern Faro) to the Roman settlement of Milreu (where there are still remains of a Roman villa) and Vale do Joio, near the modern São Brás de Alportel.
There are two ways to explore this road. The longest one will start in São Brás de Alportel, but it's a bit hard to find the way to the trailhead, so the provided coordinates are from the shortest way (of course, once there you can freely explore all the way) which starts near a main road.
