This is one of the thousands of Bunkers that were built at the Swiss borders from 1938 to 1940, mainly at the northern border to Germany. They all were maintained during the cold war and were mostly abandoned in the 1990s.

This one is located east of Mumpf between the road to Stein and the river Rhine that is the border to Germany. It is a square concrete building with an length and width of about 8 meters. The entrance is at the south face. The loophole is not facing the border in the north but the village in the west.

The yellow markers on both sides have no military background, these are the official Swiss signage for hiking paths.
