In the Deer Park, not far from Copenhagen, there is a "chateau", and decorating the entrances to the property there are several sphinx statues.

The Deer Park (Dyrehaven) was built by the king Christian V as a hunting ground in 1670.The palatial hunting lodge Eremitagen (The Hermitage), built on the highest spot of the park in 1736 is flanked by sphinx statues. The house was designed by Laurids de Thurah with Rococo motifs of the Late Baroque period.
