Camilo Pessanha was a Poet, he studied law at Coimbra. He worked in Macao, where he held judicial office, and where he lived most of his life, coming into contact with Chinese culture, even to translate some works. His poetry and symbolism, largely influencing the generation of Orpheus. His poems were collected in Clepsidra collection, published in 1922. Addicted to the consumption of opium, dies in Macau, where he is buried.
