This little Pub really earns the title of "Back Country Pub" if ever there was one. It is sited in the middle of nowhere really about 33 kms via Crows flight from North Battleford, Saskatchewan although it is quite a few more kms when traveling via road. This little pub, at the time of listing here, is owned and run by Uhan Ewanchuk and his wife who live in quarters adjoining & who actually have this pub up for sale. Be a great place to buy if you really did want to drop of the face of the earth and disappear with a few kegs of booze to boot. Not the busiest pub in the land by any means but it does see it's fair share of patronage from local hunters and skidooers (snowmobiling), with the hunting season bringing them from all over the place to hunt the local Whitetail Deer & Mule Deer populations and then withdraw to this quaint little watering hole amongst the wheat fields in order to 'lagerize' stories of big bucks, till through ethanol induced euphoria - the Buck they saw that day was equaled only in stature by the infamous and world record Hanson Buck - which was shot not to far a drive from this district. Needles to say it is a pub with a pleasant atmosphere and quite personable proprietors. It is only hoped that whomever should buy this establishment in the future will keep that air about it. Up until very recently they did sell food from the bar that was cooked in their own private kitchen out back but bureaucrats have defined the order of the day and have prohibited the sale of food unless a commercial kitchen is built, which is blatantly stupid in a premises that would barely turn over enough money to make a commercial kitchen pay for itself in a 25 year plan. They can still sell bags of chips and peanuts from the bar but that’s about it. Maybe whoever ends up buying this little hotel may want to invest in refurbishing it a little to bring it up to scratch - but as a hobby pub for a retired couple - it doesn't seem worth it. The premises does have a pool table as well as a large wide screen TV on which I'm sure a few Hockey & Football games have been and can be viewed. If you are ever out this way then pay a visit to this neat little watering hole - it's pleasantness and unhurried and uncrowded surrounds make it quite enjoyable.
