Small rose garden inside the Estrela Garden in Lisbon, planted with Roses from Galilee.
This roses from the mountains north of the Holy Land were an offer from the people of Israel to the people of Lisbon as a sign of friendship and affection in 1989.
They were planted in the Estrela Garden in this small rose garden where they are today.
The plaque indicates this was a gift from the people of Israel.
We´re almost in the winter and tha´s no the best time for roses. Still, they can be recognized. I´ll take some new pictures in the spring and summer.
