The place was called "At the Black Lord" (Czech: U cerneho panaboha, German: Beim Schwarzer Herrgott) since a long time ago. The legend says that there was a tree struck by a lightning and the locals placed a statue of Christ into its hollow. After some time the statue turned black and that's where the place got its name from. A local poet Ernst Konhäuser wrote a poem "Beim Schwarzen Herrgott" but I was not able to find the text online.
Currently there is a wooden log with a carved cross and black metal silhouette of the Saviour.
