Piedade camping is a quiet park located 1km from the center of Elvas in Alentejo.
The park is is property of the nearby Catholic Shrine of Senhor da Piedade but is run independently from the shrine. It´s very quiet and simple with plenty of shadows and a very good restaurant.
Facilities include the bar/restaurant, showers and toilets. The park is mainly used for one night due to it´s strategic location near the Spanish border.
We choose it to rest during a trip to from Lisbon to Sevilla in south of Spain. Of course we did visit the city because we had some free time. We particularly like the quietness.
The showers and the toilets could use some improvement works.
Prices from 10€ for a caravan, 4 persons and car.
