Barns in Australia aren't large structures. They are utilitarian buildings often constructed by the farmer using local timbers cut on the property & are clad in corrugated iron (walls & roof). The barn is usually off the ground being supported by posts. The supporting timbers for the walls & roof may or may not be dressed.

These barns store items such as tools, wire, parts, drums of chemicals & fuels, bagged feed. If the barn is on ground level then a tractor or a truck might be added to the mix. A good look in a barn will often result in items of an historical nature being found eg old bottles, horse drawn implements, animal traps, hand saws.

This barn seems to be beckoning one to enter & explore with a door left open.

Is this a 'working' barn?: Equipment Shed (used to store farm implements)
