Weißenthurm has restored the place in front of its name giving landmark, the `Weisser Thurm` (White tower) in the year 2006. As this tower has been build at the border between the former German countries Kurtrier and Kurköln they have put a sign explaining the historical significance of this building. To be more polite to tourists from foreign countries they have added translations in English and French at the table.
But when I have read the text I was wondering what they talked about. I didn't get anything. The text makes no sense to me and I was able find a lot of mistakes in the translation. Due to the fact that the word `Seiler` (ropemaker) has not been translated, it seems, that the text has been translated by a system like Google-Translator.
